NaNoWriMo.

For those of you who read that mouthful of a neologism and go blink blink, November is National Novel Writing Month. A worldwide cabal of lunatics, egotists, and fools gets together and attempts to each write a complete 50,000 word novel in a month (or the equivalent in new words on a larger novel).
