It occurred to me the other day that I hadn’t written a single thing on my blog/website in… years. While blogging is most assuredly dead — at least as we once knew it — actually confirming to your readers that you’re still, well, alive… will never go out of fashion.
I’m here. I’m doing well. I’m happy. That’s all any of us can really ask for, in the end.
There will be new material coming to this site as/when I get time (and the inclination) to post it. I have no idea on timeline for this material, but it will happen at some point.
Many, many changes have roiled the industry in the past several years. I have opinions on them, as do all of us, but you’re not likely to see many of them here. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
You see, I’m a writer. Nobody cares what I think. They only care — and rightfully so! — about the next book.
So, that’s what you’ll get from me.
I won’t promise never to comment, here and there, but largely, I’ve stopped caring all that much about the serial dramas that are endemic to publishing and writing. I’m just… really, really tired of them.
I just want to tell stories, in whatever way I choose, and to tell a lot of them. Which is exactly what I will do (and have been doing).
In addition, I need to be better about keeping you informed about what I’m up to — next projects, future state stuff, etc. So, you’ll be seeing a few of those posts first to (more or less) get everyone up to speed.
I’m glad you’re here, you few, you brave. I hope to make it worth it for you.
