Hi all. It’s been quiet of late, yes, but I’ve been hard at work on a whole panoply of things. What follows in this post might be a little convoluted, but please bear with me — it’ll all make sense in the end. Hopefully.
After being long back-burnered due to other work, I’ve commissioned a new cover, updated the description, and recategorized book one in The Chronicles of Muurland. For years, Amazon has stuck this story in Erotica, despite the fact that the novel does not at all belong in that category. C’est la vie.
The title has been modified somewhat to The Taking of House Westwood, prior to it being republished as a new novel. (The previous iteration of book one, The Fall of Lady Westwood, is no longer in print).
For this new version, the story has also been expanded somewhat, along with the addition of new illustrations, maps, and a few other bits of bonus material.
By the way, my subscribers to Subscribestar, Patreon, and the new writing-focused subscription site, Ream will all get to see the expanded version of book #1, including all of that new material, before it is published as a novel and made available at e-book/print retailers. Why not consider heading over to one of those sites and signing up?
(Note: I’ll be doing a detailed post in the next couple of days about Ream, and explaining why I think it just might become the single best place to subscribe to my work in the very near future…)
For those of you wondering, yes, all three of these books will be first published in e-book form into Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited (KU) program for at least 90 days before the books will be published at the other retailers.
Both book #1 The Taking of House Westwood, and book #2, Property of The Nocturne are now up as preorders at Amazon.
Book #3 (as yet untitled) will be going up as a preorder in the coming days.
Lastly, all three books will have not only e-book, but print versions as well, including (a first for my books) a version in hardcover format.
Below are the covers, descriptions, and links (for anyone who’d like to pre-order the books on Amazon at the price of $2.99 each before they’re published — when the prices will rise to $4.99).
Thanks for reading.
The humans were foolish to believe the darkness of night would never come for them again.
For decades an ancient enemy had been lying in wait, honing their powers and marshaling their forces until the time was right to strike. Arrogance and pride had left the humans vulnerable to attack, and when the vampires finally descended upon the lands of men, there would be no mercy.
In a desperate struggle for survival, paramours Owen and Sophie, are torn from one another, caught up in a powerful and malicious noblewoman’s twisted games. While Sophie’s father frantically searches for a way to reclaim his daughter’s life from the clutches of evil, a powerful, malevolent force threatens to engulf the realms of man, bringing destruction upon all it touches – and plunging the world into unspeakable horror.
But what if the only hope was within Owen himself, whose courage might tip the scales in mankind’s favor.
If he could find the strength to love in a world full of hate…
Publisher’s Note: This story was originally published as The Fall of Lady Westwood (now out of print). This new version features never-before-seen illustrations, and additional content not included in the original version of this story. Readers will find this version a richer, more immersive story providing greater detail and background as an introduction to The Chronicles of Muurland.

While Sophie faces a mysteriously seductive new captor, Owen contends with the ruthless, amoral Aurora. Lady Westwood is humbled, but she may find there are new opportunities in captivity.
For the forces of mankind, caught completely by surprise, awakening to the true threat of the nocturne may have come far, far too late.
